Sept. 9, 2009  After some time spent clearing my mind and cleaning my closets, the Goddess calls me out again.  The new moon approaches and my Dark Mother would have me celebrate Her in proper fashion. The dark half of the year is also upon us - dipping into the night after the balance at Mabon. Time to start witch dancing under the moon and bubbling cauldron spells. Let’s see what Hekate brings and what the night has in store. 
I will celebrate all the faces of Hekate in this season of bounty. I will ask Her to guard my doorways and light my path. She who is all knowing and all seeing. Dark Mother of my dreams. Blessed Be.

Sept. 10, 2009  What to do next has been on my mind all day. At first I thought about inviting some friends over to celebrate Mabon and have a harvest festival gathering. But I find I’m still not ready for that yet. Instead, I think a very intimate personal celebration is in order. As I’m working on the details, Omnia’s song Alive keeps playing in my head. Wouldn’t it be perfect to create a ritual around that song. Maybe have things mentioned in the song represented on the altar. Being in tune with the “root that feeds us” is really what this path is all about. Hekate is surely smiling.  Goddess of old crones who have bats in their belfrys! 

Sept. 12, 2009  After posting Thursday’s blog I went outside and witnessed one of the most exquisite rainbows I’ve ever seen.  The sun was setting and the clouds overhead were lit with vermillion color. The rainbow appeared within this brilliant cloud, with color that outdid the color of the cloud itself. It was intense and something I have never seen before in my entire life.  I felt that it was a personal affirmation from the Goddess to me. What a spectacular gift.  And there was more.  Earlier in the day on my way in to work, I saw three crows and three deer.  Something about the grouping of three’s caught my attention, and I asked the Goddess for clarification.  Yesterday, I was on a website dedicated to Hekate and her followers and read that group’s of three are a signal from Hekate as She was often portrayed with three faces - Maiden Mother & Crone. Thank you, great Mother, for sending these messages to me!!! Blessed Be.
